Tag for life  The artist  Contact/Order

Itzhak Luvaton, a reserve Captain in the Israeli Army and a renowned artist of Judaica from Jerusalem, selected this moving verse from the Book of Genesis to be the central motif for his unique creation – the “TAG for LIFE” – called “Chai-Tag” in Hebrew. (“Chai” = 18 which is the Kabalistic numerical symbol for Life)

The “Tag for Life” is beaten out of pure sterling silver (925).
Designed to replicate the Israeli Army ID dog-tag, it displays the Dove of Peace in the center, with the verse from the Book of Genesis engraved around the edges.

“Tag for Life” symbolizes all the central motivating forces of the artist’s life:
Itzhak LuvatonThe continued existence of the Jewish nation in its own Land of Israel
   Itzhak LuvatonThe yearning for Peace
Itzhak LuvatonThe personal survival of all Israel’s fighting sons and daughters
Itzhak LuvatonThe spirit of giving, and the mutual extending of an ever-ready helping hand

Itzhak’s inspiration for this beautiful and meaningful artistic rendition arose from a lucky charm that his father gave him just a few days before he was drafted into the Israeli Paratroopers. He attached it to his army issue ID dog-tag and wore it throughout his entire army service.
The first series of “Tag for Life” was distributed as a gift to Israeli soldiers.
Symbolically, 18% (18 is the Kabalistic numerical symbol for Life =“Chai”) of the proceeds of all profits will be donated to the valiant soldiers of the Israeli Army. “Tag for Life” offers every caring Jew the opportunity to share in the ongoing struggle for survival and peace. Order yours now.
