Itzhak Luvaton, born in 1963 in Jaffa-Tel Aviv, is an Israeli artist. His specialty is creating unique Judaica art that combines ancient Jewish tradition with modern design – using an interesting variety of materials.

Itzhak’s studio is located in Kibbutz Mishmar David (midway between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem) . His work is displayed both in his own gallery in Jerusalem and in many galleries around the world. The Jerusalem gallery also showcases masterpieces by other local artists.

Background:
During his childhood he became an avid student of arts and crafts. At High School - the Boys’ Town Yeshiva in Jerusalem - he began experimenting in wood work.
Itzhak served in the Israeli army in the Paratroop Corps, where he achieved the rank of Captain.
After completing his army service he attended the Omanit School of Art where he studied jewelry design and to be a Silversmith. Under the tuition of an expert engraver (an “Asir Zion” – émigré from the ex-Soviet Union who had been incarcerated there for fighting for the right to immigrate to Israel) he acquired expertise in the art of engraving, and later studied hammering at the Bezalel Academy of Art.
Today Itzhak combines all of the above genres, using an exciting mix of exotic woods, silver, gold and other materials to create his masterpieces.
Itzhak’s art is presented at prestigious Judaica exhibitions around the world, and many have purchased his unique works. He also participates in special projects for international Jewish organizations.
